| Summer Inspiration Climb - Devil's Bedstead Equipment: What You Need To Bring
Clothing
- Dress in layers prepared for changeable mountain weather, ranging from sunny and hot to windy, wet, and cool. (shorts & Capilene shirt to fleece top and bottom)
- Rain/Wind Jacket with Hood (Gore-Tex, etc. or coated nylon)
- Rain/Wind Pants
Personal Items
- Backpack - 20-30 L capacity
- LUNCH & SNACKS! Bring your own please!
- Sunglasses, Sunscreen, and Lip Balm
- Light Gloves-fleece or wool, Sun Hat, Ski Hat
- Ski/Trekking Poles (optional)
- 2 water bottles (approximately 1 liter capacity)

- personal first aid kit
- Climbing harness (from SMG)
- Climbing helmet (from SMG)
Footwear
- hiking boots or sturdy hiking shoes (preferably broken-in)

Summer Inspiration Climb:
Devil's Bedstead

The Devil's Bedstead (East) sits at 11,865 feet. The Northeast ridge is a class 3-4 route. August 27th is the date for the Summer Inspiration climb which will be up the majestic Devil’s Bedstead in the Pioneer Mountain Range. The Devil's Bedstead (East) sits at 11,865 feet and is a class 3-4 route.
This is a one-day climb led by the Sawtooth Mountain Guides. The cost is $250 per climber and includes a celebration dinner following the climb at the Boundary Campground (on Trail Creek Road).
The fundraising goal this year is $1,500. Fundraising help and tips will be available.
