Expedition Inspiration’s Inaugural Full Moon Snowshoe Celebration was, by all accounts, a great success. The celebration began with a twilight snowshoe up Sun Valley’s Dollar Mountain. The moon made its appearance as scheduled and hikers snowshoed up Dollar on a perfect full moon-lit evening! The hardy hikers warmed up with refreshments and entertainment by Leanna Leach, as they perused a fabulous silent auction. Auction items included wonderful art pieces, a Mt Rainier climb, dinners, city getaways, spa packages and many other great items. The bidding was fast & furious. Supporters enjoyed a hearty dinner and entertainment from the Wood River High School Jazz Choir. It was a great celebration that raised approximately $30,000. in support of our Tenth Annual Medical Symposium. Our Full Moon Snowshoe Celebration was dedicated to the memory of Roger Evans, long time EI Board Member and husband of our founder, Laura Evans. It was a fitting celebration of Roger’s life in the beautiful outdoors of Idaho, with good friends, food & drink, while raising funds for a cause dear to his heart. Thank you to all who participated.
Plans are already underway for Expedition’s Inspiration’s Second Annual Full Moon Celebration for winter 2007.
