Expedition Inspiration Fund For Breast Cancer Research Announces Special SEATTLE STORM WNBA EVENT

The Expedition Inspiration Fund for Breast Cancer Research is pleased to announce it will be taking part in a very special Seattle Storm event on Friday, June 23, 2006.  The WNBA Storm is hosting Breast Health Awareness Night during their game against the San Antonio Silver Stars at the Key Arena.  Seattle area organizations will take part in this special evening that will celebrate and honor breast cancer survivors for their inspiration and courage.  Expedition Inspiration is proud to announce that Edna Campbell will be our official representative and participate in a Survivors Ball Exchange, which will incorporate special pink basketballs.  Ms. Campbell is a breast cancer survivor, mother, and retired WNBA star, having played for seven years in the League, including the Storm.  She will also serve as celebrity hostess for Expedition Inspiration’s Ninth Annual Seattle Take-A-Hike, which will take place on Sunday, September 24, 2006.   Funds from this Hike will benefit research under the direction of Dr. Julie Gralow, at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

This fun evening will also feature booths representing Seattle area breast cancer organizations, including Expedition Inspiration.  EI’s booth will be manned by members of our Seattle Steering Committee.  Thank you to these wonderful volunteers. Everyone is encouraged to come early and take part in what promises to be a very special Seattle Storm game and evening of celebration.  We hope to see you at The Expedition Inspiration Fund booth!
