The Symposium is titled "The Role of Inflammation & Immunity in Breast Cancer Etiology & Treatment” and brings 16 researchers from across the globe as well as 6 Medical Advisory Committee Members to Sun Valley, Idaho, for the week of February 11-15, 2013. This Symposium is an invitation-‐only conference held under the guidance of Marc Lippman, MD, and Angela DeMichele, MD, MSCE. The attendees—which include renowned scientists, researchers and physicians from around the world—have intense working sessions to share unpublished information, analyze breakthroughs, discuss advances in treatment, and recognize hurdles to finding a cure.
The Annual Laura Evans Memorial Breast Cancer Symposium is an invitation-only conference that encourages the free exchange of ideas and current breast cancer research. Attendees include basic scientists, clinical investigators and practicing clinicians. The attendees have intense working sessions to share unpublished information, analyze breakthroughs, recognize hurdles to finding a cure and discuss advances in treatment. After the Symposium, attendees continue to pool information and develop new cross-country clinical trials.

Expedition Inspiration Fund for Breast Cancer Research held its 16th Annual Laura Evans Memorial Breast Cancer Symposium March 7-11, in Sun Valley Resort.
KETCHUM, Idaho, March 19, 2012—The top breast cancer researchers and physicians in the nation gathered last week at the Sun Valley Resort to discuss current and forthcoming breast cancer research and their efforts to find a cure. The four-day event marked Expedition Inspiration Fund for Breast Cancer Research's 16th Annual Laura Evans Memorial Breast Cancer Symposium titled "The Metastatic Process and Novel Opportunities for Breast Cancer Therapy."
The Symposium, held under the guidance of Marc Lippman, M.D. and Angela DeMichele, M.D., M.S.C.E., is an invitation-only conference that encourages the free exchange of current breast cancer research and ideas. Attendees include basic scientists, clinical investigators and practicing clinicians.
"I think this year's EI symposium was our most successful. Not only were the presentations outstanding, but a series of collaborative interactions between investigators has already ensued, which will certainly hasten innovative clinical trials," said Expedition Inspiration Scientific Advisor Marc Lippman, M.D.
The Symposium featured three days of scientific programs that included the 15 invitees and six Expedition Inspiration Medical Advisory Committee members. The invitees shared their current findings in 20-minute presentations and discussed future collaborations after each presentation.
