Expedition Inspiration Twilight Snowshoe Date Change: "Keep Abreast with EI!”
Twilight Snowshoe, February 15, to be a part of "Keep Abreast with EI” February 11-15. KETCHUM, Idaho, January 2, 2012—Expedition Inspiration announces a date change for their eighth annual Twilight Snowshoe from Friday, January 18, to Friday, February 15. All other event details remain the same, and guests who have already bought tickets may use them for the new date; however, refunds are available. "We decided to rethink the timing of our Twilight Snowshoe this year to align it more with our Annual Symposium,” said Katie Powell, Executive Director. "We are calling the effort ‘Keep Abreast with EI Week’ as we welcome world-renowned researchers to the valley with our Annual Laura Evans Memorial Breast Cancer Symposium, host our Free Breast Cancer Research Open Forum for the public and finally throw the Twilight Snowshoe to wrap up the week.” The breast cancer researchers will travel to Sun Valley February 11-15 to share unpublished information, analyze breakthroughs, recognize hurdles to finding a cure and discuss advances in treatment.
The public is invited to a Free Breast Cancer Open Forum to hear from these researchers on Wednesday, February 13 from 5:30-7 p.m. Expedition Inspiration is proud to offer the public an opportunity to hear the latest in breast cancer therapy and to have breast cancer related questions answered. Finally, EI will host its Eighth Annual Twilight Snowshoe event at the Valley Club Feb. 15 from 5 p.m.-8:30 pm. Expedition Inspiration is making efforts to shorten and simplify the evening by featuring only a super silent auction with eight items and "Paddle Up” for breast cancer research within a cocktail party format for $75 per person. Guests will receive a complimentary class of champagne upon their arrival, one drink coupon, and heavy hors d’ oeuvres, after which a no-host bar will begin.
Super silent items include a 2012-2013-season ski pass from Sun Valley Company, a six-night stay at Kaha Lani Resort in Kauai, a five-night outdoor adventure at a luxury home on Lopez Island and a dinner in a beautiful private home for 40 with special entertainment by Mike Murphy. Guests have the option of buying a $100 raffle ticket for the 1 in 100 chance to win the super silent auction item of their choice at the beginning of the evening. You must be present to win. The Twilight Snowshoe, as well as all of Expedition Inspiration’s fundraising events, contributes to the Annual Laura Evans Memorial Breast Cancer Symposium. This Symposium is directly tied to Expedition Inspiration’s mission to find new cures and prevention strategies in the fight against breast cancer so the people we love—our mothers, sisters, daughters and sons—won’t suffer from the disease. |
